Nice hypocrisy

They don't want them counted if someone voted for Dino Rossi.

"We are calling the folks whose ballots were rejected and then we're going to their homes trying to help them to get their votes to count," Berendt said.

Ryan Bianchi, communications assistant for the Gregoire campaign, said the canvassers knock on doors and ask if the person is a Gregoire voter. "If they say no, we just tell them to have a nice day," he said. If they said yes, then they continued with the process.

"Clearly it's such a close race that what we're trying to do is find as many votes as possible," Bianchi said. "This is a rare situation where it can come down to a few votes, so we want to make sure that everybody who voted gets their vote counted."

From today's seattle times.

Basically, the democrats are saying they want every vote counted, but are going around and only telling people who voted for Christine Gregoire how to get their vote to count.

This is not surprising. They need all the votes they can.

Gee, oddly enough Rossi's workers only care about his non-counted votes also. Nice to see you trying to point out hypocrisy when both sides care about the same things.

Frankly, what's your point? When I was canvassing our GOTV effort in my hometown, if the peson said he was a Bush supporter, all I said was, "Thank you. I appreciate your time. Have a nice day."

I don't fault what they're doing. What I fault is the fact that they claim they "want to make sure everybody who voted gets their vote counted."

While Rossi's supporters are doing the same thing, they aren't doing it under the guise of getting every vote to count. I'm surprised you can't see the difference between supporting your party and lying about wanting every vote to count. if they had said, "want to make sure everybody who voted for Christine Gregoire gets their vote counted," I would be fine with this.
