Seems like a strong competitor to A64 in game and strong in pretty much everything here. WTF is intel doing pimping presshots this whole year?

Should get really nice with dual channel PC3200 and 915 boards.

But so would dothan, ...dothan tweaked for desktop, I don't see how it can't beat A64's honestly..

Yep Intel is a bunch of knuckleheads.....Lower power consumptions, low heat produced (even at oc'd levels), and fast as an FX55 in all around...Seems like a no-brainer....

Dual core dothans and where it should be as well not dual presshot!!!

If inte would dump its Prescotts and focus on the P-M, they could have aprocessor that is much better than their currwent ones and competitive with AMd. When a $800 P-4 processor is beaten by a $115 Athlon64 2800+ in gaming, that is sad. Though the P-M still lags behing the A64, I'm sure with some tweaking they can get it to be competitive. Maybe with some dual-core PM, they will be able to beat the dual core AMd, since the dual prescott won't (shouldn't at least) go anywhere.

Design processors for a living, then you can begin commenting on marketing (though you'll be far off without some business acumen). Otherwise, the only ones taking you seriously will be the ones in the same boat.

weve been saying great things about Dothan since before it came out.
and then it came out in s479 form! grrrrr

anyone remember when we used to run P4 s478 mobiles on desktops @ 225fsb before northwood C was even released?

i think we scared intel by doing that, so they added another pin to the next gen.
