Even for end-users, the price difference of retail and oem at newegg is almost nothing long time ago.
There is no reason not to get retail if you're end-user and even you're going to overclock or abuse the cpu.
 
the best reason as stated is the three year warranty if you should buy the retail cpu. i mean why not buy the retail if you are getting the factory heatsink and fan for free. it also doesnt mean you have to use it on this cpu. im sure its gona come handy one of these days.
 
If your an AMD reseller/system builder, you get this email. It's only hot for AMD resellers/system builders.
 
I'm a AMD system builder but I have no freakin idea how to purchase them as I am not building systems for a living or anything.
