I was at my local Target last week and they were @ $55. I bougt it one time when they were on sale for $88. Definitely a sweet buy.

Went to 5 targets around the S. Puget Sound area....

No guitars, but 2 or 3 had the bass. (Lakewood location had 4 yesterday)

Dang, I was really looking forward to snagging a couple for xmas morning.

Stopped by tonight, they had about 8 of each, they were 35% off for $79.
I asked the sales person to scan it and it came up $79.
I will be by there on Fri. I will check again then.

If Anyone can find the Bass in the Houston area please let me know. Ive made a bunch of calls where they told me they had it and pulled it for me, only for me to waste gas when I get there and find out it's not a Bass.....yuck!

They were marked on sale for $120. They were with a few other things, on the end of the isle, with a sign that said an extra 35% off the lowest price.

If anyone in N. Puget Sound (or south, to Portland) can find the guitar -- but wants the bass -- PM me and maybe we could arrange to meet for a swap.

A whole bunch of them are on ebay now, so it might be worth checking out.

There's a couple other targets somewhat close to me, and since carmel is a "rich" area, I bet there's still a chance there's a few left. If I'm in the area I'll check those out.

Ughh! Was $74 when I went in on Monday. Went back there yesterday and they were all sold out but had been marked to $37.50. They did have one bass left but I had no interest in it.

Same thing happened to me, went in on Wed and they were not marked down. Stopped by Sunday morning, all 15 kits were sold :frown:

Oh well, so much for getting the band back together...

I went in yesterday after being told Friday that if they were going to be marked down again (from $74.xx) that it would be on Monday.

The guy in the electronics area said they were now marked as salvage and would be pulled from the shelf today and sent to GoodWill. No further markdowns would be made.

Bummer.

After reading this thread and following a few links, I was surprised how cheap you could get a decent axe!

Back in the '80's I was touring on a club circuit with a R&R band, but I haven't owned a bass guitar for about 16 years. (Family, kids, responsibilities, ya know.....)

Well I just bought this (ebay link).

Sorry for bringing up an old thread, but this old dog is starting to get excited about playing again. I think i will need to practice quite a bit.
