I bought some of the dynacharge (duracell) from sokme other battery place for like 69cents a piece. They are OK, but don't charge as well and get really hot compared to my rayvac 1600mah in my smart charger. I am thinking about getting these, although I don't need 24 😛 I wonder if these will be as good as/better/worse than the dynacharge?

I have two digital cameras that each take 4 AA batteries. That is 16 batteries because I always have an extra set on hand for each camera. My wireless kb uses 2 AA's and so does my mouse. I have 4 remotes that use 2 AA's each and 10 remotes that use 2 AAA's each. My MP3 player uses on AAA battery, and I always like to have a spare on hand. I also have a portable radio that uses two AAA's.

That is 28 AA's and 24 AAA's for my house.

Its also quite expensive. And I understand the charger has a fan so it doesn't get too hot 🙂 Its a good idea for an emergency set I guess, but probably better in the long run to have several sets of nimh. They only take an hour or so with a decent charger.
 
I love my Gold Peak NiMH batteries. I have 8 2000 mAh AA's and my digital camera uses 4... I can fill up a 64 MB memory card, which is about 90-100 pictures, using the flash and the LCD on a single charge. I've had two of them in a portable CD player and they lasted about 8 hours... the same player that a set of 2100 mAh Energizers NiMH batteries lasted 5-6 hours.
 
I've been very happy with the AccuPower AccuManager 20 ($54). It handles almost any kind of battery--NiMH, NiCD and RAM types in AA, AAA, C, D, and 9V sizes--without requiring optional battery packs. The versatility is important to me because I use a lot of NiMH D cells in my boom boxes (Maha PowerEx 11,000 mAH, of course ;-).

The AllTek AT-5798 ($35) has a very similar feature set, but I've never used it.

Well I got mine. They have LIGHTNING fast shipping. I ordered ground shipping and got it like within 2 or 3 days. I'm charging them up right now, this will take a while 🙂 I'll let you guys know if there's a problem, otherwise assume that I'm a happy camper 🙂
 
How do you get free shipping? I entered my zip code, and my shipping option is 4.98 for UPS ground. Do I need to do anything special?
 
yea i got the 2000 mA batteries from batteryspace.com a while ago. i like the charger it comes with...super fast...but batteries get HOT while charging
 
The 2250mAh batteries are great, I have 12 and used them in my A70 camera. I also have the 2000mAh batteries and have some trouble with them, not lasting very long in the camera. But the 2250mAh last for over 200+ pictures in 2-3 weeks.

I also got the my charger from this same website and it works fine, charges most AA & AAA in less than an hour.
 
What would be a decent charger for these batteries? I would prefer to get them of the same site though unless a significantly better deal exists elsewhere.

Get the basic charger they come with. I forget the name, but I ordered it from batteryspace.com too and it came with 12 2250mAh Powerizer batts. Yeah, they get hot while charging, but no hotter than my electric plane batteries do when I'm charging them. Just wish the current was adjustable so I can give the batts a proper overnight "break-in" charge. I don't believe you ever see the full capacity of NIMH batts until you break them in with a trickle charge of like 1/5C or something. I forget the exact number. PEACE.
 
I prefer their V-2000 1.5Hour Smart charger. it is light and supports 110~220V volt(build-in switching power instead of external adapter)

This is what I use too - works very nicely. The batteries that I got that came with it are 1800mAh but work really well.

Read the instructions and see. If its one of those IC3 chargers, they only do fast charges on the IC3 batts. Goto energizer webpage it should say too. Google is your friend 🙂
 
I love this $35 charger. It charges up to 10 batteries independently, so you don't have to load them 2 or 4 at a time. And it will deep cycle batteries... it trickle charges after full charging, so I just basically keep it loaded with a combination of AA and AAA batteries. It's the shiznit.
