Yeah, it may not be the hottest deal going (get a couple of cinderblocks and a big hunk of wood if you're really cheap), but if you're going to spend $150 on a Lian Li you can shell out another $200 for "this desk".

Yeah...that shipping just kills the deal.... :(

I wonder if you can try to find it locally at a Kmart or something. ;) :p

Ditto regarding the computer. Does bluelight sell it seperately from the desk?

Hmm, yeah..after shipping, it sure isn't much better than MSRP. Nice desk though. :(

Wow - Im really impressed with this stuff. Ive never seen such avante garde furniture associated with K-mart. The rest of this line can be found here. Theres a few desks that are cheaper, but not as nice looking as that first one. I really like the coffee table too!

About shipping, someone should hit up Kmart and ask them if its possible for them to order that to the store. I know staples does similar stuff. I wouldnt be suprised if Kmart could also.

I got this DESK at office depot, when it was onsale for $99 used the $20 off $75 and got a great deal on a metal and glass desk, got tired of moving particle board desks and having them break. I added a few plasitc rolling file storage drawers from target to store stuff in.

nice looking, but the keyboard/mouse drawer is a little small. not enough room for the mouse. going by the 48"x30"x30" dimensions and the relation to the envelopes and keyboard on the desk, it looks like the PC shelf is about 21"H x 10"W x 30"D. you might be able to fit an antec sx860/sx1060 (20.6" x 8.1" x 18.6") or smaller case in there, but it would be snug if it even fits at all. you should have enough clearance behind for airflow and cables.

$200 with $100 and tax seems a bit much, though. if you could grab it in-store somehow and save on shipping then it would be decent. really need the dimensions of the pc shelf.

<< For a computer desk nothing beats a "Leda"

This place has them pretty cheap.
>>

Those leda desks are crazy. Does anyone here use one? The downview monitor thing seems weird to me but I like the fact that you can put something on top of the glass if you want to use the desk for something other than computing.

Those leda desks look very cool. If they are as sturdy as the look then I need a new desk. My desk right now is in shambles.

i used downview monitor.. your neck hurts after a while.. because if the angle isn't 100% comfortable, your neck have to lean forward a little to view the screen..

but other desks are real nice.. and only $20 shipping :)

Well, this desk was nowhere to be seen at my local Kmart. But then again, my Kmart is one of the ones closing down, and everything is around 30-40% off. ;) :D

My friend built his own desk based on the Leda design. He drew up the plans and had a machine shop weld it together. The low monitor angle is awesome, you don't know how nice it is untill you try it, then you wonder why they don't make all computer desks like that. The "downview" desk, where the monitor is under the glass is a little too low I think, that might give you a neckache, the ideal position is halfway down facing up at an angle.
