A section of a multi-million dollar bridge in China that opened in November has collapsed, leaving three people dead and five injured, state media say.

This is the sixth major bridge collapse in China since July 2011

And everyone worries about them and oohs and ahs over their construction means and methods without giving two shits about the end result. Glad they're doing so well.

and at some point they will start building bridges here in the U.S. from the contracts they already won. It's gonna be an epic ass hurt for those of us who will drive daily on Chinese-built bridges.

They still make better quality stuff than lazy American workers do.

I'd rather have a shaky bridge built in a week, than a shoddy one built in 7 years and billions in greedy union scammed tax money for a bunch of no good lazy American workers.

You might try moving to China. I hear it's great there. Bridges take forever here because of bureaucracy. Not the workers. Shit, we are already over 10 years and a hundred million dollars into a bridge that hasn't had one shovel put to the ground yet. The bridge it's supposed to replace was built at the turn of the century, and not the last one. It's a friggen joke.

We have a combination of that here, the replacement span for the Bay Bridge that takes about 20 years (and still not finished), and materials fabricated and built in China.

Remind me not to cross that fucking bridge once it's done, probably in another decade.

On second thought, all the people involved in that decision process to give the construction job to China should be charged with treason and suspended from the bridge by their necks when it's finally finished.

haha notfunny...you guys are making jokes the americans can't understand.:(

I hate the NDP as well, Bloc too.

It's not that we don't understand, it's we don't care about Canada politics. That's in contrast with Canadian's obsession with US politics.
