I heard them at Fry's before. Pretty nice. Definitely worth 20 bucks. Too bad no microcenters in my area.

"Nice speakers"...there is nothing nice about Benwin flat panels. I saw these previewed at E3 several years ago....and they ain't worth even 20 bucks, sorry. Look up some reviews on em.

Yep...I agree. They're very tinny and sound awful. Get some Cambridge PCworks for $30. They're small cubes and they ROCK.

In spite of the dissent regarding the quality of these speakers I picked up a set tonight. They sound better than my Yamaha's.

I can't say that I am a conniseur of sound, but for $20 they seem to be a fair deal to me. Clearly not Nakamachi, but then I have yet to find a set of speakers to rival my Sony headphones with active noise cancellation.

Besides, they look cool. I have to admit I think the panels are paper affixed to them itty bitty speakers doing all of the work. Anyone have a link to a comparative review I could look at?

I've looked at several reviews on these speakers, and move gave them great ratings, Anandtech liked them, and several other places. I did a search on 'review benwin bw2000' on google and I have yet to find a negative review on them. I also have some at home, and for the $20, they are awesome, they are as good as if not a little better than my Altec Lansing 4.51s that cost me about $120 a few years ago.

Sub is a little weak though, I'll concede that.
