plus by the time you get the 9700 at quakecon Nvidia's next would be either announced and shown off or released. I can see it now...The NV30 demo is running the newest build of DOOM3 where ATI isn't hah...Carmack would claim something about programable shaders etc etc technical technical.

Or maybe Quake 4 will make an appearance?

by the time doom3 is out, nv40 will be out. and the p4 will be running in the 4 -5 ghz range.
