RC5 has been running all day, no reboots.

Load temps are: 18C case, 35C CPU.

Idle temps are: 18C case and 26C CPU.

Air temp is 19C

This is without pelts or water cooling. Strictly air.

The 1.4W is enough to keep the seagate cool, and is the quietist. I have a 5 switch fan controller that allows me to turn all but the PSU, CPU off. I leave the 1.4W on all the time though, but since its quiet it doesn't matter.

The temps were with all fans on. Windows open to the room.

I'd like to see a computer running in antarctica, outside, and is protected from condensation and frostburn..

Oops, i've been playing too much diablo2 lately...

edit: scratch antarctica, make it run in an absolute vacuum.
Or better yet, get it to run like 0.005 degrees kelvin.

you can't run a computer in a vacuum(at least that's my understanding)...there's no way to transfer the heat. You need atoms/molecules to take up the heat and if there aren't any molecules/atoms(such as a in a vacuum), you'll have a nicely fried cpu.

Hmm, so your air temp is 19c, but your case temp is 18c? Doesn?t make any sense. Fans wont lower your temp below your room temp; it?s a law of physics. You are measuring your room temp a few feet off the ground, but your case is a few cm off the ground, hot air rises, so that?s the reason for the lower temp.

Holy crap man that's a good system, glad to hear you got it cooled nicely too! Good luck and post some bench results! 😉

Thats awsome warrenton...
I just bought my case from designcomp.com
its an antect.
its mid tower, thats exactly what i wanted
it has a 120mm in front lower bezel (intake)
120mm on side panel(intake over cpu)
and 80mm fan in the middle back (exhaust)
i call it my muffler
HEHE =]

Yes the case temp is measured from down low, and the CHEAP @$$ thermometer that I measured room temp with is at 5ft up, and next is next to the door. The air outside this room is warmer too.
