I am running XP PRO and AMD wiith a K8N NEO Platinum MB with onboard NIC.
Out of the blue, I have lost access to the internet. Cox (my internet provider) says their highspeed motorola modem is working fine and that it appears I have a software problem on the computer. They tried renewing an ip address and failed.
Is there a way to determine if I have a hardware or software problem? Getting a standalone NIC would be an easy solution but I don't want to waste $$ if my setup is operating fine as is. Software, on the other hand, is more of a problem as I have disabled system restore and have failed to make a backup. Eek.
Thanks for the help!!
