I recently purchased a DLink DI-624 wireless router and a DLink DWL-G520 wireless card. Once I made sure everything was working good and the speed was to my satisfaction I decided to order another card for my other computer. The problem is I can't get the second one installed. I have followed the instructions to a T. After installing the drivers I shut down the computer, install the card, and when XP finds the new card it goes through the process of installing the hardware but when it's done it says "there was a problem installing my new hardware, the system cannot find the file specified." Do you think it told what file it is it can't find? Not a chance. I have tried many times and many different ways and with all of the drivers for that model that dlink offers. This is absolutely driving me insane. I have gone trough the whole knowledge base on dlinks website and of course I must be the first person this has ever happened to because there is nothing on there. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be?

It might be that you created a Ghost installation after the first attempt.

Look in Windows Device manager to make sure that every thing is OK, and there is no conflicts or and ?Ghost? Installations (The big Yellow exclamation mark is BAD).

Look like this: Ghost installation in Windows Device Manger.

If it so, get rid of it, put the card in another PCI slot and try again.

It does do that every time I try to install it. But I always remove it before I try again. It's weird though. Even though I remove everytying from the device manager and uninstall all of the drivers, the next time I install it it puts a new # behind the device.
