Finally, more netgear people find their way out of the darkness. Yep, they are nice. I used a linksys card for a good year, then recently switched to a netgear and noticed quite a bit of performance gain. Slightly better bandwidth, but more importantly, much less CPU overhead.

Plus I like the bluish-green color of the netgear PCB 🙂
 
at my old company all we used were netgears
we had trouble with 3coms (isdn modems and hubs) when they got unplugged (although that was 3 years ago) and i waited too long for win2k drivers for my 3com officeconnect
we also had a few linksys that had problems

but there were no problems with netgear
for home i have 2 cards, a netgear 10mbps hub, 100mbps hub, 10/100 switch, all netgear, and i'm really happy with them.
 
sweet thread. i'm right into this now. looking at the netgear fa 311 or whatever the model is. looks like I can get it for 30 bucks CAD retail boxed although i'm not sure if I can get this OEM or whether or not I should even bother with OEM in the first place.
