No one's saying it ruined your life-- hell, half the people criticizing you in this thread have smoked before and are against drug testing for things like weed (me included). It's just in real life you have to learn to play the game. That means thinking twice before letting a friend talk you into smoking right before you start a new job that you know will drug test you! You fucked up and you have to learn to pay the consequences, whether you like it or not.

Auggie is absolutely right and I don't think he's criticizing you for smoking-- he's just stating that if you're not mature enough to think about the consequences of your actions, you probably shouldn't even be considering doing it. Welcome to real life.

Yeah, pretty much. I'm a huge pothead yet I agree 100% with Auggie and 2Xtreme21. There are going to be times in your life when it's appropriate to toke up and there are going to be times when it absolutely isn't. It's about responsibility...don't expect to make it too far in life if you can't even be responsible about when you smoke pot, especially when you know that you're going to face a drug test in the near future. Pot is fun in high school and college, but welcome to real life, it's time to grow the hell up.

Aside from the lecture, while it may work, niacin probably isn't the smartest thing to take. Your best bet is to just drink a buttload of water before the test to dilute your pee. Also take a little vitamin B to make your pee look yellow. If it's a casual test, you'll most likely pass. If it's more serious, though, they'll say that there is something wrong with your pee and you may get to reschedule a test...essentially you're just postponing the test so you can clean yourself up. If you haven't really been smoking, you'll probably be ok after a couple of weeks, but if you're a very regular smoker, the THC can stay inside you for up to a month.

I don't really know too much about those detox drinks they sell at headshops though...never tried them myself, and I probably won't ever. I've heard mixed reviews, try it at your own discretion.

Drink LOTS and i mean LOTS of water, gallon a day.
Go play sports, excersize, run a few miles a day... anything to make u sweat
go sit in steamrooms, saunas, etc... anything that will make u sweat...
it is fat soluble, you must try to get it out of there... and sweating will do that... the skinnier you are, the faster it will leave..

I think that anti-jaywalking laws are moronic, but I don't jaywalk in front of cops, and I don't jaywalk if my job depends on it. One would think that these things would be common fucking sense, but that seems to be something that potheads are SEVERELY lacking.

FWIW, my definition of "pothead" is "one who makes very poor or costly decisions in order to get high", and doesn't really have much to do with people whose recreational habits don't affect other areas of their lives. You can smoke pot and not be a pothead.

Exercise a lot (sweat) and drink a ton of water, my friend had to get clean for a job and that worked for him, obviously your results may differ.

I'm not sure if the human body burns fat in a "last in first out" fashion, but if it does you might be able to burn it off by dieting and exercising for a couple weeks, and drinking a lot of water. The theory being that the THC is dissolved in the fat that your body stored during the time you smoked, and you want to burn that particular fat.

I'm totally pulling that theory out of my ass though. I'm not sure if the THC would also dissolve into the fat your body has already stored. If it does then you are screwed.

What's your situation anyways, do you know when you are going to be tested? How often have they tested you for your current job? Is it at regular intervals, or what?
