hey everyone, i'm getting a digital camera pretty soon(olympus c-720uz) anyways,
I was reading up on what type of batteries to get, and everyone is saying NI-MH. so okay
there's a few options here the 1600mA, and there's like an 1800mA. I'm assuming
the 1800mA would probably last longer, i dunno, is there much of a difference, anyone
have any comments?

yes, the difference between 1600 and 1800 is significant. LED is right though, you definitely need to get the right brand. The best 2 available are 1800 mah Maha PowerEx batteries, and Kodak Max 1850 mah.

you can buy them at http://www.thomasdistributing.com

Another important thing to consider is the charger. You have to consider recharge time, how fully it will recharge your battery, and how hot it will get your batteries. If you have a rapid charger that gets the batteries too hot, their lifetime is drastically reduced. Best rapid charger is Maha C204F. Does any combo of 1-4 AA batteries in 3 hours without burning them.

you can get this at NewEgg, click the accessories tab, then do a search for "powerex"

Here's a great review of different brands of AA batteries... Very useful information... even contains benchmark comparison of the different batteries...
