I think Patrick Roy is overated...He plays very sloppy in my opinion and if it was not for the AV's Kickars defenceman he would be screwed.
I also think the loss of Forsberg also is hurting the AV's and works high in the devils advantage. I also think Brodeur is in his prime now and will help the devil's win the cup.
I would like to see the AV's win only because of Borque he deserves a cup after 20 yrs of playing. But realistically NJ has alot more depth then the AV's
Excuse me, but it is not over yet! 🙂 The series will go 7 games - the Avalanche just wanted to have the last game in Denver so that they could receive the Cup at home! 😉 They had a little bobble, but they will prevail. Keep the faith! Don't be fair-weather fan. 🙂
Ok, no way the Avs can lose.
They have Sakic,Heyduk,Drury,Bourque,Blake
and Foote. It'll be a cold day in hell when
the Avs lose against such crapy team like
New Jersy!
I live in denver and am a huge AVS fan, been to about 15 games this year. To be honest, if the AVS play like they have the past 2 games there wont be a game 7.

NJ is the #1 seed from the Eastern Conference, and had crushed the Avs during the regular season twice. I don't think I'd be calling them a crappy team at all. I'd love to see the Avs win and get Bourque his cup, but I just don't see that happening. Brodeur and the "A line" are playing extremely well right now, and unless Roy and the Avs come up with 2 sick performances or the Devils self destruct, I honestly don't see the Avs winning the cup. I do think it will go to a game 7 though. Hopefully the Avs can win 2 in a row.
Well, one thing I can say for sure... I definately think the best 2 teams from the NHL are fighting for the cup right now. With the two conferences and elimination the way it is, sometimes the second best team gets knocked out earlier, and that kinda sucks.
Roy is definately still an awesome goaltender. I would even venture to say the best goaltender in the NHL... Only problem is he's the worst defensemen. 🙂 I think he sees Broduer at the other end handling the puck and throwing it all over and says "I can do that!" Truth is, he can stop pucks very well, but no way he can handle the puck like Broduer.
But I just gotta see my Av's win this dang thing! If they can pull it off, then it will truly be a great victory beating such a good team like NJ. Especially haveing Sakic out earlier and now having to play without Forsberg.

Totally agreed... Borque deserves a ring for all he has done... so Go Avs!
Roy over-rated? :Q Well if he's over rated so is Lemieux, Gretzsky, Orr, Messier, Parent, Howe, Jagr, Sakic, Forsberg, Hull, Hasek, Yzerman, and etc etc etc. I think you get what I am trying to say. 😉
Roy is not over rated, but he is prone to making some horrid judgement calls. The Avs are a good team, but IMO New Jersey is simply better.
Next game will be the last.
Roy is definitely not overrated. He is quite possibly the greatest goaltender ever, but he hasn't been the past few seasons. However, I do believe Brodeaur is overrated. He's lucky he has that team in front of him.
