NH-U12P Angled?

I recently bought and installed a NH-U12P heatsink for my i7 920. However, I'm noticing that the entire heatsink is bent 15 degrees. After looking at some pictures, most of the other heatsinks don't look angled at all. Is the heatsink suppose to be like this? I find myself idling at 40 degrees.
 
Yeah. That first picture shows the angle. Did the base look angled to the fins when you installed it? Is the mounting mechanism installed properly?
 
I think I installed it properly. I did remember seeing that the base was angled to the fins though. I'm probably gonna try to RMA it then.
