Unfortunately this will be their highest traffic day all year!

Nope, and what AT did is scandalous. Now, I don't know whether AT actually did it; they could just have received an e-mail from a "source", with that source doing little more than plagiarism; that AT knows about it, we cannot know.
And if you don't think that kind of stuff happens, I'd like to happily point out The Inq, which is the best example ever that random retards can get internet journalists to copy-paste mostly anything they want to.

That AT refuses to acknowledge the severity of this issue is absolutely shameful imo; I don't know whether they're responsible for it, but considering the situation, they least they should have done is try to cooperate with NGO HQ to try to figure out where the actual problem occured. Come on guys, if you got a frivolous source or information network, you try to debunk it, and not ignore all evidence indirectly pointing in that direction.

Furthermore, AT is a professional website where some - or perhaps all, I don't know - reporters are supposedly paid. Considering their position, they have the responsability to handle such thing responsibly, not deny it randomly with a 3 lines e-mail sent 5 minutes after receiving the inquiry.

Now, feel free to say it doesn't matter if AT didn't know about it when they published; but that's BS, because even then it matters to know how in the world they got that information without getting the original source information. Someone who AT trusts is applying plagiarism and tens of thousands of people have read that article by now, if not much more. Legally, I would assume that if AT denies such things, they would be held responsible for it, instead of their source.

The kind of reactions I'm seeing about this are saddening at best. Sounds like 3 years olds pirating the latest version of Putt-Putt while posting a reply, thinking "pff, they pirated it, and so what? I do that too". I know this is a quite overly ridiculous comparaison, but come on...

I seriously wish i new something about computer viruses. Lemme tell you, there are a few people at those websites would be recieving a few of them right now. (jk)

I think what is happening is now that a small little internet reviewer has tried (but failed) to embarass the largest (and best) reviewer, all the others can see some gain in siding them. Perhaps as an attempt to dethrone AT.

I hope they try to make a case, i would now love to see AT simply crush them.

In case you didn't know (editors) I, along with most other forum members, support you guys!

AHHH THEY ARE LYING

Their review uses the 81.85 drivers, AT's little snippet uses the 81.87 drivers. Not only did AT not do anything, but now they have proof that it isn't even the same thing.

I think i might create an account over there and just rub it in their faces. (*sigh* my first account which primary purpose is not to help anyone...gonna be good times :p)

Nice little save there Kevin, I didnt even notice that before, hmm now AT can sue for libel and everything else is basically a moot point...I think it's a sad story when people try and defame such a respected site and then have B3D post what they did is just as sad, they claim those of us defending AT are immature when they in return are the one who created this issue and then didnt even back check themselves...

I have done the disassembly of a NV dll before. Just not with PE.

I "discovered" cards that didn't exist at the time. When was this? About 5 years ago.

So I guess everyone is now plagerizing me.

Oops, I didn't post it on a forum or webpage for the world to see it.

My bad.

plagiarism

a piece of writing that has been copied from someone else and is presented as being your own work 2: the act of plagiarizing; taking someone's words or ideas as if they were your own.

So if a small town newspaper scopps a story at 8a.m. and then CNN reports on it at 12 noon. The small newspaper can accuse CNN of plagiarism?

Of course not but that small town newspaper probably gets a little mad that they can't get the coverage that CNN can.

The NGO guys probably don't even realize their own anger and that they are accusing Anandtech of a serious ethical offense, and potentially a criminal one ( I am not sure what types of copyrights NGO has), and that all their really angry about is something that is not plagiarism nor illegal, two newsites reporting the same story.

Anandtech already has an excellent case of libel against NGO and I suggest that if NGO is reading this they go talk to a lawyer as soon as possible.

Kudos to those Anandtech'ers out there behind enemy lines fighting the cause. Although I'd like to see some hard ownage for the bastards of NGO, I guess their 15 minutes coming to end within a week is good enough.

This is retarded. Even if AT got the idea off of NGOHQ it's not plagiarism. The screenshots are obviously different. It's stupid beyond unspeakable words, kind of like software copyrights. OMG stop using my file deleting function and my multiplication codes!! You ripped off my multiplication table and copied my Pi constant too.

Hey person below me, stop plagiarizing my post! You used the letter H in your post and so did I. Sue him!!
