i think i'm on the third tier (3rd sponsor, unlocked coral east)

i've finished every single race on my map and got all the dvd covers/magazines (well, no stars on my map)

and theres nothing to do anymore... i think i need to get a 6 star rep to get another mag cover but my car's rep is peaked at 5.87 and i can't increase the rep anymore (installed every single visual upgrade, vinyls, stickers etc)

is there something i'm missing?
 
Try using the non explore mode, ive found many races not completed when using the selector instead of the exploring mode.

buy an SUV and do the SUV races...
also you MUST finish your car to certain levels before more races will open..
make sure you always have all the parts availible and the highest star rating or the game will not advance..
 
you need a 10-star rating to complete the last DVD so how is it you think you got them all ? Hit "F4" - it will show you. You need to get better rep on that car... and don't forget the wide body kit which requires 10 outrun race wins (use a stock car, opponents will be stock and slow too). Every bit helps... I barely got a 10-rating ... had to add stickers EVERYWHERE near the end.

Oh yes, there's more races when you hit the World Map from the garage.
 
Is playing the races from World Map the same and driving to the event? Sometimes when I complete an event off the World Map, it shows the cash and rep I won. Other times it doesn't. This is on events I haven't completed yet.

The whole way of getting to races is stupid. Maybe it's different on PC, but on XBOX it's a waste. You have to either jump back to the garage and then select an event, or you have to waste up to 5 minutes driving to the next event you want to race. If you race from the World map, it sticks you back in explorer mode after instead of the world map again.
 
OMG you have to DRIVE??!?!?? to the next event? wtf you want to warp?
the bets part of this game is driving to the events and racing peeps on the way...
and just tearing stuff up in open mode...

I don't mind driving around to test other racers, but I'd rather just select races and start racing them. Just gets old having a DVD Cover spot open up at the top of the map when you are at the bottom. Guess it gives more "game time." I would just like an easy option for selecting races instead of jumping to garage then selecting world map.
 
You can easily break over 6 star rating. Maybe you are just missing unique visual upgrades? Do you do outruns at all?

SUV races do not help towards getting to the next stage. You can beat the game without ever getting an SUV. There are hidden races, but if all you are missing is the 6 star rating, those won't help either. Press T and then check the 2nd page and see what's missing.

Check every single visual upgrade to see what you are missing. The 6 star rating is probably the hardest, but you don't have to put any stickers on to get it. You are probably just missing something.
 
Oh man, I hope you didn't miss out then. That's the only way to get uniques, all of which may help you a lot. The performance uniques give you a 10% boost in one of the categories, and these are noticeable when you race. My mx-5 has been beating skylines and it's not even the end of stage 3 yet 🙁
 
ahh, thx dudes... got to the next sponsor

and made a bad investment bought a lancer evo upgraded it and it has a wide turning radius =( (nothing compared to my rx-8)

lol, i didn't know outrun races gave u unique parts... i'll be sure to do more of them.. btw... is the rx-7 still the car with the best handling in the game?
