Yeah, I got past the dead end. All I had to do was get a 3 star car.

You cant make it smaller, but you can turn it off completely.

I also noticed that the streets are extremely pixelish. The cars themselves are pretty, landscape is alright. This is on a 9800 Pro with everything kicked up.

I'm also disappointed that when Brooke Burke talks at the beginning, it's just a picture and not a video.

I'm finding that the outruns keep getting harder. Their cars appear to be much faster than mine even though I've got all the available performance upgrades... :(

say... are those garage doors supposed to have large "squares" on them? the garage door looks slightly corrupted in my nfsu2. originally it was very blocky, but i installed the 1.1 patch for nfsu2 and its better, then i notice that the garage doors got stuff that look like squares on them which seems like graphic corruption, is this an ati issue?

and can someone send me a screenshot of a NFSU2 garage door on their PC just for me to make sure. thx.

WobbleWobble:

Well, prepare to be dissappointed for the rest of the game, because there is no video of Brooke Burke, at all.

blazer78, WobbleWobble:

I have also experienced this pixelization before, when I first got the game. Try restarting the game, restarting your computer, reinstalling NFSU2, and updating or reinstalling Catalyst 4.11 (preferably with a DriverCleaner uninstall beforehand), in that order.

I'm not sure of this garage door problem (honestly, I don't pay too much attention to the garage doors).

I don't have any garage doors screenshots right now, but I do have a few of my first car, if I could get them posted.

I'll take a few door shots for you tomorrow.

I had the same problem about pixelation with my 9800pro. I removed FSAA and restarted the game and that seemed to do the trick.

I have the problem with pixelation on my Ti4400.

Quite annoying that it is pixelated at 1280x1024. LCD's native resolution... probably would look 10x better if I had my 9800P in.

The trick is to use a stock car and head out there with it. Opponents will have the mods you have so this is the best thing to do. I was able to win outrun after outrun doing this, with any of the cars, stock... even at stage 4. But the wide body kit (after you win 15 of them) isn't so hot (though it gets you the star ratings).
