im sorta new to this game, i just got it about a week ago. i still have my original car even though ive unlocked several others. when i unlock a car the stats on it are always worse than the car i have, why is this? shouldnt i get better cars as i go? if i trade in, does the car im trading for come with the same upgrades that i had? if so, then why are they all slower. 😕
 
You keep the same upgrades even if you trade cars. Yeah, some of the cars are junk and are only there because they look good.
 
went through the whole game. Keep the miata until you get the RX-7. I bounced back and forth between the RX-7 and the skyline. Skyline is better for races/drags, IMO. The RX-7 owns the drift.
 
If you have a Miata, don't bother upgrading at all, unless you want a new car for looks. Until the 240 (iffy) or the Rx7 and Skyline basically you have teh best car.
 
Agreed, most of the cars aren't any good. I think I started with the Civic and I think I then had a Mitusbishi (was it the Eclipse? I don't know that I remember having an Eclipse) that I used until I unlocked the Skyline. I didn't use too many cars because most of them weren't any good or I don't like the way they look.
 
yeah, i still have the miata. the acura rsx has been the best possible upgrade. it makes my top speed go up by 2 bars, but i lose 1 acceleration point, and 2 handling points. its just frustrating unlocking all these cars, but they are all worse thant he one i had.
 
also, is there any difference playing the maps on easy-medium-hard, besides the amount of money you get? and is the money really that important anyway? it seems that i haev so much i could never run out, but im just afraid of some huge late game upgrade that i wont be able to afford.
 
amount of money, that's it .. well, aside from the difficulty of actually beating it.

another tip, once you're further along, if you can't beat a race, take your engine mods back to stock. This also affects the competition and you should be able to whoop them. 🙂
 
i kept the miata and beat the game with it. easiest car to handle, and decent speed. it pwwwnnzzz ANY car for drifting, and i don't care what any of you say.

wish i didn't lose my nfsu cds, so i cant play right now 🙁
 
The thing that pisses me off about this game is that the computer cheats soooo bad. I can be ahead by 5 seconds and those bitches will be on my ass in no time. If I was 5 seconds back I don't have a chance.

i beat the game with the skyline and the eclipse. the eclipse has AWD and handled the best but the skyline had the fastest acceleration next to the supra. but the supra was all over the place for me.
