NFSU and Windows XP Pro SP2

I recently upgraded to a new system with Windows XP Pro SP2 and I reloaded NFSU. It installed fine, but when I run it the inital videos are a slide show and the load bar moves very very slow. THe audio seems OK but it is out of sync with the video. At this point it is unplayable. I have the latest NFSU patch and video drivers.

K8N Neo2 Platinum
evga GeForce FX 5900

Any ideas? Is this SP2 related?

Have all the latest drivers. So far I have only seen this behaviour with NFSU, Doom 3 works fine.

I don't really have any ideas to help... but i've had no issues with NFSU and XP running SP2.

Worked too good on my system unplayably fast...

i have SP2 RC2 not retail..

it loads in under 5 secs and cars move at light speed...

Are any of you using the Cool n Quite functionality by any chance?

Just in case anyone cares, it turned out that the problem was due to the Thrustmaster force feedback driver. The version I had were not compatible with SP2. They have posted new ones now.
