NFS: PU...crashing problem

I have been playing PU for a while now and Im finally getting into the evolution game(after giving up on factory driver because Im stuck on a 'mission')and I have a rather large program. In the 365A Cup race on the Normandie map my computer hangs at the same exact point every single time and it is impossible to advance until I win this race. Does anyone know what I can do? Should I just do a reinstall? I already got the patch and stuff I think.

Try different video card drivers?

Right now I am using the Det3 drivers from Nvidia, what drivers would you recommend? The funny thing about the crash is that is always in the exact same place on the map. Could a hang like that be driver related?
