I have an NFS setup and I am using the defaults. I have see some problems that I *believe* may be related to NFS. I did some research and noticed the following:
using the nfsstat -s command I see that the getattr field is at 97%. The webpage that I was reading says sun recommends this to be < 40% and should consider changing the actimeo mount option. Is this reasonable? What will this help or not help
I am running 8 nfsd threads and in /proc/net/rpc/nfsd the th fields look very high. The majority of the numbers are > 100000 and as high as 600000. Are these numbers high and what exactly do they represent? Would increase the number of nfs threads be beneficial?
