Why won't it play?

I had no trouble installing and whatever but the game itself won't play.
My XFX controllers also give an error at startup and they don't seem to work properly.

A lot of the softwares and games that i have and use don't work in RC2 even if i set the compatability to XP SP2. Why is this so?? Without this i can't use RC2 as my main OS until June.

What should i do to fix that?

I want to make RC1 or RC2 (preferably because its supposedly more stable) my everyday OS and somewhat sideline XP Pro SP2.

The only thing stopping me is the fact that there is so much compatibility issues with my software and games.
Drivers are also a problem sometimes like for my game controller.

Is there a way to set it up so that i can just...use it...and not have to worry about all these things??

I'm afraid the answer is most likely... no. We'll see, maybe the final version will have some strong support from developers.

The best thing you can probably do is NOT use it, dual boot XP, or stop playing games.

There isn't "anyway you can set it up" that is going to change it. It's pre-release, that's the way things go. Your 3d performance is probably lacking too. Go back to XP for a while.

I have it setup in a dual-boot with XP already.
I'm having a little problem in XP now so i was gonna clean install XP.
Was just wondering if I could just use RC2 as my main OS but i guess that won't be happening.

Probably not. I tried the same thing... Beta 2, RC1, RC2 and XP 64bit edition.

I always end up reformatting and going back to good old xp. There is a "zune" theme microsoft released for free that makes XP feel a bit more like longhorn.
