I need your help guys.

Will a Abit AN8 Ultra, an nforce4ultra motherboard be able to support a ATI video card (X1800XT). If it does, will it have any performance drops or possible problems with ATI and nvidia motherboard, or it doesnt matter?

Also do you think a TT 430 watt is able to handle the X1800XT? It runs pretty strong because I have a 7800GT CO with it.

Specs:

5 case fans
Audigy 2 zs platinum: front bay.
EVGA 7800GT CO
Abit AN8 ultra.
AMD 4000+ 2.4ghz san diego.
1GB 512x2 PQI 2-3-3-7 ram.
WD digital SATA II 250GB 16MB
Using an TT 430 watt.

Yes, an ATI card will easily work with an NForce Ultra board. There are tons of people that have this combination. I have an EPoX 9NPA+Ultra NForce 4 motherboard and my video card is an X800 GTO video card which is an ATI designed card.

However, that is a nice card you got now, especially since it is an eVGA. Why the switch?

I would have a good quality power supply myself.

It is because the X1800XT runs at really fast speeds, and i'm just trying to take advantage of the rebats and ATI discounts, selling the cardd at 250, so that means I can get the X1800XT :) its a trade off.

but yeah the 7800GT is a great card.

I haven't had any problems running an ATi card on my AN8 Ultra.
I'm not a big fan of that Tt PSU though.

It seems Heidfirst and I are on the same pgae. Seriously, consider getting a better power supply.
