PCIe 16X slot and two PCIe 1X slots, four PCI slots where one is possibly 266 MB/s fast, four memory slots,

How does that work out? :| Not to mention the Nforce4 doesnt exsist... Its called Crush now..... Too bad those aren't all 8 native S-ATA ports... 🙁

Ummm......the ORIGINAL nForce1 was called "Crush" as well. Crush[model#] 😕
And the VIA haters are gonna' have a heyday with the VIA chip on-board that nVidia motherboard! 😀

it will be atleast 200 when it comes out (look at the current 939 boards).... It should drop to around 180 pretty quickly though.

there's no way i pay $200 for a f^%@ motherboard...then i'd REALLY rather go S754 and be happy.... same goes for NV40/PciE....i mean i am willing to pay a certain amount of money, but i am not eager to knowingly get raped by their pricing

:Q

Dual S939s, dual PCIe x16, and EIGHT DIMM slots?

Well, actually dual 940-pin Opteron sockets, I think. s939 Athlon 64s don't have the two extra Hypertransport interconnects needed for SMP operation. Load it up on RAM, put in a pair of SLI Quadros and that would be one powerful workstation.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

You can keep your precious AGP if you want, but I'll choose to bask in the glory of SLI Quadros. Can I have an amen, brothers! 😉

EDIT: Forgot which board we were talking about for a minute. I take back the part about the SLI. With all the neat new midrange PCIe releases from nVidia and ATi (X700, 6600, 6200), I still don't think too many tears will be shed for the loss of AGP around here, though.

Well where the hell is my dual 16x PCIe slots? Or at least 16x and 8x PCIe slots.

Well that would be on the Nforce 4 SLI, not the Ultra.. youre going to have to wait a bit longer for that one.

Looks like a good board but i still like the Asus.

Cant wait until launch its gonna be a good one.
