Sorry for yet another NF4 question but my system is flaking the hell out on me. Not sure how much longer it's gonna last.

Anybody here feeling confident that they won't slip into December or January? Guess I'm a little stressed out here.......must.....relax........

i wish, i wish...sitting on my parts here, incl. shiny socket 939 A64 3500+....WAITING for these boards.....argghhh

the problem : you also want to be sure you get a revision A03 board, since it is said that the revisions before will all have problems with HT at 1000mhz and slight bugs with PciE. Maybe thats also a reason for the delay.

The more the merrier.

Unfortunately, I doubt that mid-November still holds the shipping date, it's more like mid-end of December now for the MSI and the ASUS, early next year for everything else.

I really doubt they will allow themselves to miss out on christmas sales. Asus swears that mid-november is still the time, but w'll see.

Waiting and waiting for these boards is frustrating. My ageing Pentium 2 266MHz (don't laugh) is on it's last leg. Even though the manufacturers have stated a November release date for these motherboards, I won't hold my breath. While you're waiting around for the nforce4's you'll be without a computer. The board manufacturers are notorious for delays.

Consider this also, the first batch of boards (rev 1's) are bound to be laden with bugs and unforeseen problems. You're better off waiting for the rev 2's anyway.

I recently bit the bullet and took the plunge on an nForce 3 board with a 3500+ and 6800 GT and expect that I'll be very happy with plain old AGP.

Not trying to crash the party or thread crap, or start a war or anything, but what about ATI's offerings? RX480 and RS480, I think they are called? I thought the inquirer already said they were shipping(to OEM's maybe???)but haven't heard much about them.

How does anyone know that these boards will be available mid nov? I sure hope you are right, but what is the source of your information?

Thanks, I didn't actually read it all yet, but from the looks of it, it only seems to talk about the P4 chipsets/boards, is that the case?

I also skimmed over the link, looked like it talked a lot about notebook MB's and IPX but not much about anything else.

think i read that on this very site. not forum. via will be here in 2-4 weeks too they said. anyway ima rather trust this site than some guys in the forum who say stuff while being frustrated cuz nforce isnt available yet. think they said via in november too and 2x 16xpci-e so i might get that, ht 5x works on it too and i dont care for the nvidia firewall. tho if i remember right the sli via will be pro and might be alil later than the non pro with one 16x either way its not gonna be late december they aint gonna miss chrismas i think its stupid to claim stuff like that.

I hope it's mid-November. Not that I have the money to buy my whole system yet, but at least I can start getting parts.
