nForce3 Software Not Detected

I am currently running Windows XP SP2 on my system with a MSI K8N Neo2 platinum board. When installing my Nforce software ( Version 5.10 from Nvidia website), it claims to install all the services, that including audio, and after a restart, does not detect any nForce software when I try to launch the NvMixer.

I have disabled and uninstalled my Realtek '97 audio in hope of replacing with the nForce audio codec, but it[nForce] does not even show in my sound properties. My nForce Ethernet and IDE tool is working properly, but I seem to have the problem only with the nForce audio.

Suggestions?🙁

Re-enable the AC97 audio and use the drivers on your mobo CD and see what you get. I know with my K8N-E Deluxe, I uncheck the nVidia audio, because the board does not actually have it, unlike nForce2 MCP-T boards. I've heard people say it can still work, but it doesn't for my K8N-E Deluxe, and that's a close relative to your MSI.

One thing for sure is that my Realtek '97 audio does not properly play sound through my rear speakers for any application other than the speaker test, Winamp and Counter-Strike specifically. This is why I don't want to use the '97 driver.

Anyone ever have that problem?
