This could be helpful for the ones who HAVEN'T bought one yet (like myself). If there's no button for your nForce2 board, be sure to post the model and revision#!! Vote if you have a good one!;) Vote if you got a lemon! Vote as many times as you have nForce2 mb's. Thanks for helping us discover an actual ratio of good vs. garbage.

I've been running a 8RDA+ at 100% cpu load 24/7 for a few months now with no problems. The BIOS is a bit finicky, and this thing runs way hot. I'm worried when summer rolls around that this thing will burn down my apartment.

*EDIT - I did have a problem with a bad overclock using the 11x multiplyer. Now I can't use the 11x multiplyer at any setting.

Just built a NF7-S and have a Athlon 1700+ running at 10 X 166Mhz FSB 100% Stable and FAST!!!!!!!!

Have a Hard drive on the Sata(with adapter) and CD-rw and CD-rom on the IDE ports.

Did not even format the hard drive. Just removed the drivers and installed the Nivida ones. And love the sound card!!!!!

Happy with NF7-S but also just as happy with a cheaper MSI K7N2 that has XP1800@2.1ghz (10.5*200) with a couple of original sammy pc2700 sticks. By having a hardware jumper for 100mhz fsb, K7N2 saved me from an extreme overclocking problem in which many other board users cannot boot the machine from a overclocking failure.

Now that I have "proper" memory for my system I'm loving my Epox 8RDA+. Very fast and my CPU is nice and cool while running way overclocked with a high FSB.

I haven't even used one NF2 board yet personally. the last XP system I built upon was an Albatron KT333.. I'd buy the Soltek SL-75FRN in a second though.

I've owned Asus boards for a very long time, but I just switched to an Abit Nf7-S and I couldn't be happier. Setting it up was just like using an Asus board, slap on all the componets, power it on and everything works correctly the first time :) And the sound, wow much better quaility then I thought it would be. The sound easily beats the SB Live5.1 card I had before.

My 8rda runs like a champ, next week I am gonna do a mod and try for 250FSB
Memory tips for setting up new unflashed mobo.
Use Corsair XMS Series ONLY! (NOT TWINX XMS-LL series)
XMS3500 DDR Memory runs @ 5222 over 220 FSB!
XMS3200 DDR Memory runs @ 6332 over 220FSB!
TWINX1024-3200LL (no good)
CMX3200 LL Memory(no good)
XMS2700 LL Memory(no good)
TWINX/EL/LL/OCZ series is not nforce2 supported!(bios fixes are on the way!)
Use Mushkin Enhanced black & purple
Use Twinmos
HyperX? kingston says no good for nforce2?
Geil some failing memory test86?
do not use kingston 2700 value ram!
do not use crucial pc2700 ram!
do not use samsung pc2700 ram!
These are all low budget modules that can give you a C1 code or run unstable (replace memory module) in ALL nforce2 systems!

I'm so close to ordering an Abit NF7 V1.2, ie: clicked order button, the only reason I couldn't order was lack of funds (had just cancelled another order, funds hadn't been credited back).

Should I go for this board, or an Epox 8RDA?

I love Abit soo much, so I'm thinking of going for them, there's less than 50p in the price, so its whichever seems to do best, really.

Basically, should I get this board? (also going to get a T-Bred B 1700+, and will have 2x256MB TwinMOS PC2700).

"TWINX/EL/LL/OCZ series is not nforce2 supported!(bios fixes are on the way!)"

Is this for your mobo or ALL nforce2 boards? I thought the ASUS 1002 bios is working fine?

Around Jan my KR7A-RAID crapped out on me. I had another that had dead serial ports that was given to me. It had serious issues beyond that especially with my R9700 Pro. My buddy had recently got an A7N8X Deluxe, he was lovin' it. I finally had my fill of ABIT. I'd been with ABIT since the BF6 days, it was time for change. I got my A7N8X Deluxe, it's been rock solid!!! Best overall MB I've ever owned hands down. I just set up another one for my brother. 48hrs now running 3DMark2001 looping. It's an Athlon XP 2500+ running@ 2200Mhz on 1.75VCore 200FSB. Using an SLK-800A, AS3 and a ThermalTake Smart Fan II CoolMod 80MM running 2500RPM peaks at 42C full load, 27C case temp. Haven't tried to push it further, this is the sweet spot we where looking for. Multiplier works perfectly as well.

Epox 8RDA+ no problems as of yet. Fired up the first time around and has yet to even hiccup.
