Nforce2/Kt400 with Win 98SE

I plan on using one of the MB's with these chipsets along with a 1700+. Any problems with using 98SE as an OS?

It does everything I need and not interested in upgrading to XP right now.

I'd be cautious about nForce and Win98se. I have not seen any positive feed back on that, and there seem to special problems installing the drivers.

If you go with the KT400, 98SE is great.

I would stick with Windows 2000 or XP with the Nforce2 though.

I have the Epox 8RDA and Win98se. All seems good so far. The only real problem I have noticed is BF1942 with the on-board sound seems like it is being rendered at fast forward, which makes the game unplayable. Someone said to download the Realtek ACL650 (not sure if that's right) drivers from Realtek, but when I move my USB mouse around I hear static, and there is a high pitched whine and other noises that go on in the back-ground at even relatively low volume levels.

All other games I have tried work great so far, and the 2-channel sound is very good IMHO.
