I suggest you use Driver Cleaner before installing the new UDP. Foolproof process:

1. Download and install Driver Cleaner. You can get it from driverheaven.net.
2. Uninstall the video card drivers. Don't reboot.
3. Uninstall the previous UDP. Reboot into safe mode.
4. Run Driver Cleaner and Cab Cleaner (it's part of Driver Cleaner).
5. Unplug the network cable from your computer (if you have an always-on connection).
6. Boot into windows and cancel out of all autodetect attempts.
7. Install the new UDP. Reboot.
8. Install the video card drivers. Reboot.
9. Plug in your network cable if you disconnected it in step 5.

Play some games or whatever you do with your computer. :) Enjoy.

I'll be following my own procedure in a few days when I install my new DFI NFII Ultra Infinity. I'm hoping that this will allow me to not have to do a clean install of WinXP. I'm trying to hold off on that until SP2 Gold is released.

Wow, an nVidia UDP driver release that hasn't been pulled after a day!

I might check this out if it's still available by the weekend! ;)

Confused, there have been two consecutive releases by NV that didn't get pulled after a day. 2.45 and 3.13. This'll be the third in a row.

Uninistalled the 3.13s.
Reboot.
Installed 4.24s
Reboot.
Had to reboot again as ATI control panel wasn't working.

All was rock solid after that. Ran some benchies, played Call of Duty, surfed, ripped some .wavs, etc.

They look great!

I have the 3.22 International mix. No reason to change as I have no problems. I would change if I could see that most people are getting a snappier system. But it still loooks about the same from what I see from reports. I'll probably try em anyway.

Everything runs fine here.

Not sure about probs witht the IDE drivers. I have never had a problem with them and they seem to run awesome right now.

The new Nvmixer is a lot better than the other control panel. However i have noticed that the Soundstorm Audio takes up quite a few CPU processes. Anyone have that same problem?

Did you mean CPU or DSP cycles? Because with the new driver and the new control panel I only see about 38% DSP usage even when playing back MP3s. I've never noticed SoundStorm taking up any CPU cycles when I could guage it. In games I'm too busy to care... :)

DSP is digital signal processor and in the case refers to the SoundStorm portion of the MCP-T SB chip. The control panel is telling you the amount of work in % that the SoundStorm is doing. It's relatively useless as far as I'm concerned as even when playing MP3s or DVDs I don't see the usage go up significantly (if at all...)

I`m running at default speed with no OC, used both the 4.4s and now official ATI 4.5 drivers with no problems so you could try the official 4.5s,I would recommend you use Driver Cleaner as well, btw try it at default speed as last resort and see if that helps.

that could be your problem.
