It's not the chipset, it's the CPU as lookouthere pointed out because AMD put the memory controller(s) on the CPU.

The CPU itself holds the Memory controller, thats the beauty of A64 chips. Having the mem controller on the chip reduces latency. The nFORCE 4 will have dual channel memory as long as its release on the socket 939 platform, which i believbe it will.

It also reduces how much control we have of overclocking our systems. I don't honestly think Dual Channel makes that much of a difference on AMD systems, the only thing I can see that would make the systems faster is increasing hypertransport.

socket 754 nforce4 boards will have a single channel, socket 939 nforce4 boards will have dual channel. 939 dual core chips will have dual channel also but each core only gets to use one channel(like two socket 754 chips spilced together). what im saving my pennys for is dual cpu dual core nforce4 plus sli... after that im never buying another computer for years.

Single channel memory is plenty of bandwidth for an Athlon 64. Dosen't take much bandwidth to run a A64. Dual channel on Athlon 64 will only be useful once dual core chips are released.

Because s754 A64s only have one working memory controller... it doesn't have anything to do with the chipset.

Yes, b/c that will be the pinnacle of computer design, and no further enhancements will occur until computer Neuro-implants.
