nforce 4 ultra chipset problem plz help!!

my problem is when, i go to device manager, and look under system devices, there nothiing showing for pci-e, i was told by asus that i have to use the old drivers form there site which sucks, i tried the ones form the nvidia site thats whan i get the problems not showing pic-e, but when i use the asus nvidia chipset drivers things are ok, wtf is with, if its a nforce chipset drivers, whats the difference where i get them from, also anyone having compatible issue with ati sapphire x1600 cards, cause i still get some bad ass lag, and flicker not matter what a do, even my clock speeds go missing, and drop below factory clocks while overclocking after i leave a game

Leave it at this: each OEM purchasing the nVidia GPU (Chipset) to attach it to a circuit board for resale has the option to amend the onboard BIOS in the GPU (MB) to suit special features offered by the OEM. What all of this has to do with the nVidia Chipset is impossible to make out from the jumble of unpunctuated run-on text. Asus may have used their options in the manner described. Making Asus the only source for drivers.

sorry about my typo, kinda new to these forums and all, so what your saying is asus chipsets are oem parts, so iam force to use the asus drivers????????

Asus is the OEM in the chain from nVidia to the buyer. Technically, all Asus products are supported first by Asus, and only at a second level, by nVidia. In each case, if the buyer (Asus) doesn't make substantial changes, then nVidia's drivers still work normally. nViidia video processors' functioning is altered less frequently (save for integrated cores and mobile video video) than is the case for the MB chipset ForceWare drivers. Almost always, when a laptop is the PC, nVidia makes no effort to support those with drivers.
