nForce 4 and Vista Code 10 driver errors

So, after waiting for SP1 to come out I took my vista disk I had gotten for free and installed it.

However, there are issues. Namely, code 10 errors, unable to start driver, for both the on board NIC and sometimes the video card (GeForce 6200).

The NIC would give this error every other reboot basically. I tired nvidia's offical nforce ethernet driver for vista, as well as the inital one with vista, and the ones on windows update.

I'm pretty sure I have tried all the driver combinations, and SP1 and not SP1 as well.

At the moment it is installed as SP1, with windows update drivers for nForce parts. The NIC is disabled (I'm using a USB nic for the moment), and the GeForce driver is 169.25.

The board is MSI K8N-F Version 3.0 5.2 BIOS I think.

I really wish I had not activated Vista on this box. I like vista a lot on my laptop, but if I hadn't activated it I would just roll back to XP.

Anyone have similar issues on an nForce 4 motherboard (AMD) out there and know the solution?

It should be fine unless there are some bios issues as the drivers you speak of are certified.

Try installing a clean vista than chipset drivers than (after restart) ethernet from nvidia.

Check for newer bios firs though.
