Nforce 2 + win2k = IDE suckage

Is there any way to not use the MS IDE drivers with win2k?

I see XP has updated drivers, but I can't seem to install them with win2k.

Any help would be welcome. Prefomance under disk usage sucks.

I suggest getting the latest drivers from either Nvidia or Asus.

Aren't most WinXP drivers also backward compatible with Win2000?
