nforce 2 Ultra Dual channel question

I have 2 sticks of 256MB corsair PC3200 ram in my PC, I want to go to 1 GB and am thinking of getting a 512MB stick. It says to use dual channel I must place ram in 1 and 3 slots or 2 and 3. I am wondering if I place my 512MB in there will it try and dual channel it? Or do I have to enable it? I am new to neforce2 mobo's! thanks!

Yeah, it'll work. Put the 256MB sticks in slot 1 & 2 and the 512MB in slot 3 IIRC
