i just bought the game today and it's pretty fun...easy to navigate and stuff since i've been playing NBA2K1 for the last 3 weeks...

anyways...when playing 2 or more players is there any way to choose plays without others seeing besides using the VMU?

and for my first game...i was the colts playing the raiders on rookie mode and i killed them like 56-3...is the rookie mode that easy or what? in NBA i was getting killed by the warriors on rookie mode and i was the lakers...if there's anything you want to tell me about NFL2K1 then post please!

i also found rookie mode on nfl 2k1 to be extremely easy. i played with the broncos, i believe against the raiders or chargers and i reached 100 points, while shutting out the other team. I LOVVVVVE NBA 2k1. that's a great game, played it almost everyday this semester. Anyways, if you want a real football game, try Madden on your PC or if you have playstation. It's much more challenging than nfl 2k1.

jonny nba2k1 is damn hard I can't beat anyone unless it is in rookie mode. Of course I only control kobe so all I do is use the turbo and dribble aroudn my defender and dunk. I get like 50 pts a game with kobe. NFL2k1 is surprising easy on anything but hard. All I use is the giants and I take on any team. I played Giants vs Ravens, final score was like 70 something to 9. If only that was the superbowl score too. :(

In NBA2K1, what is the key to sinking a free throw?

I've had the game for 3 months, and haven't sunk one yet!!!

slow and steady.

actually, i heard that it varies based on different controllers. One of my friends can't sink free throws with his controller but can with different ones.

yeah, when i play with my friends now, free throws don't matter, it's almost a guaranteed two (or three) points

/me is not a fan of NFL2k or NFL2k1... you want a real football game? get maddedn 2001 for ps2. the ones on DC are a bit easy and the graphics are ok, but not the best.

johnnyjack-to address your first question, you can call your plays without letting your opponent know by doing this:

Find your play and press A
Hold down the A button and keep surfing around the playbook
Let the button go on a different play than the one you chose
Gameplay will start and if your opponent was peeping your choice, they will set their Defense for your "fake" play.

If anyone wants to play online, lmk here or pm me. It's hard to find fun, fair games these day. Everyone is either a cheat or a quitter.

NFL2k1 is funner to play than madden2001. Anything that belongs to EA is suck :)

amen to what intake said. EA sports has been around for a long time. Madden has had more time to develop and i'd say that madden is by far the best football game out there. 2k1 is too easy and does not require that much football knowledge to play. Granted, it may have better graphics and may be a little more fun to play (mainly because it's so freaking easy to score), and if you want that, go ahead and play 2k1. if you want a real football game, play madden
