so if I tracked the trajectory right, bounced out of his hand, glances the face mask, dings off his chest, gets kicked up by his foot, and is then floating midair for the LB to snatch and run it in.

It was a gift to him, it bounced off Rodgers right to him.

Didn't look like it was going forward to me. I think either way that the Cards would have recovered with the LB coming free up the middle.
 
What I don't understand is why they took a knee with 9 seconds left and 2 time outs? Not likely but still a chance without putting it in the hands of a coin toss.

My guess is they were afraid that what happened in OT would happen then, probably something about being more mistake prone when you're rushing.

Its almost tortuous at times being a cards fan. There are amazing highs like the eagles win last year, incredible last second losses like in the SB, but when they come in and win like this...it is what the NFL is all about 😀
 
Kurt is the fucking man out there. I can't believe people keep betting against this team with him at the helm. And if not for Brady/Big Ben cashing in on late 4th quarter drives, after Warner scored on drives of his own, then he would have 3 SB wins. He did survive Rackers tonight, so finally some luck there.
 
Now, I have to say I am biased as I'm a Packers fan (but was watching the game with a friend who is a long time Cardinals fan) and I have to say that despite it being an exciting game, it seemed all the calls went to the Cardinals. If you compared the roughing the passer penalty on Warner to the last two hits on Rodgers, it'd be fair to say that there should have been a flag on both plays (on the holding call against the Packers, there was a helmet to helmet late hit on Rodgers) (on the last play he was tackled via a facemask).

That being said, all the Packers had to do to win the game was connect on that long pass to Jennings. Such an exciting game, best game to watch of the playoffs. Grats to the Cardinal fans, despite the few miscalls I'd say your team deserved it more than us anyway.
 
That Cards/Packers game was epic. Although I do miss the way football used to be, when they didn't pass on every play.

A game where almost every drive ended in a TD, ended by one of the few plays either defense made all day.

i agree. not one of the best reffed games i have seen. the helmet to helmet no call was bs as was the Roughing the passer on warner. the guy was blocked into him and you call it yet you dont call helmet to helmet or fasemask on rodgers guy at the end. on the plus side i have always liked warner so i will root for him now to go on a win it all and go out on top(even though he was a bit of a whiner tonight. everytime they cut to him he was whining to the refs about something)
 
Warner = Hall of Famer

I watched a bunch of crappy football games all weekend, then Arizona goes up 21 points and I say 'enough' and take a nap. Then it turns into a great game 🙁 - Oh well. I saw highlights :x
