Andy Reid (Eagle's coach) is a master of squandering sure victories.

He's able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Hey, I have an idea- we're trouncing our opponent with our current game plan, have 3x as many yards as them, and have the crowd's support. What should we do next? Stick to the same game plan? Nah, let's come out of halftime with prevent defense and try to hold onto the lead instead of scoring some more. I know it's still the 3rd quarter, but we might as well just use prevent defense and then on offense run continuous draws up the middle for no gain and punt it away. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Chargers mastered that last year...🙁

GREAT win by the Giants earlier today. Man that was one of the best sports events I have EVER seen. What a comeback!
It was a great win, but I think that may be overstating the fact JUST a little. 😉

Not really. The Eagles have a good defense. The Giants were putrid offensively all game long, and Tiki had been shut down. They have a young QB. I didn't think they had a chance, but it was fun to watch.

Agreed, the Bills pulled off the biggest (possibly?) come from behind win ever in the early 90s. I remember they were down something like 30 points in the third quarter and they came back to win the game.

The Eagles D is good, but the Giants were making them look better than they really are. They could not get their shite together until the 4th. Like I wrote in the other thread, the Giants had a very similar win last year vs. Denver.

I watched that game. That was amazing. But I think the Giants comeback today was one of the great ones.

The only reason that the Giants looked good in the 4th is because Andy Reid played lame prevent defense instead of in-your-face man to man.

The Giants didn't do much, the Eagles just flat out switched gameplans and blew it.

Actually, the Eagles were blitzing all game, in the 4th and OT too. They just couldn't get to Eli late in the game. As a matter of fact, the last pass to Burress was in the face of an all-out blitz. The Giants looked good late because they are a good, talented team. They just could not get anything going in the first half. I will still give the Eagles credit, they have a good solid defense.

Nah, it looked like the front four stopped getting pressure. With the injuries at CB, there are HUGE matchup problems for the Eagles secondary if there is no pressure.

Well, what the Giants did was go to a no-huddle. They didn't let the Eagles shuffle in fresh people on the line like they were doing all game. They started to wear down.

Plus Kearse got hurt (like usual). Kearse/Howard are both notorious for being great when healthy, but often injured.

Did you see what happened to him? Knees are not supposed to bend sideways. That must've hurt like an SOB, he may have torn ligaments or worse.

Oh yea it was nasty. He could be done for the season. Not much you can do about that....its just happened to him a lot in his career.
