Gurley with 45 for my PPR team. Nice.
Holy... crap...

Man, I feel really bad for Steelers fans right now. It looked like the correct call, but man, so brutal. That was worse than the Saints loss last week.
First I was yelling in joy about the late TD+2Pt play, seconds later I was screaming in agony of how the *uck can they allow a simple 3yrd completion turn into a 65yrd play. Then the unfuc*king thinkable happened, Ben tried to get cute with the fake spike, that rarely works anyone Ben, you should know that.Man, I feel really bad for Steelers fans right now. "Football move" irrelevant, he FAILED to secure the ball. Romo + Nance both saw it, the Ref's both at the game and in NY saw it as well. Might seem like a bad deal but that's how they define a catch these days.Definitely not the correct call. James was already on the ground, and made a football move, so he can't lose the ball by contact with the ground. That was a TD.
Meh, they will probably have another shot and Brown will probably be playing. Meanwhile, what could they possibly be thinking trying to single-cover Gronk?, he was burning them like toast the whole 2nd half but no adjustments were made, they looked like they wanted to get to Brady more than everything.Poor Pittsburgh.![]()
Ball's checked, turned out OK, Steeler nation checked, found severe deflation.Game was stolen.
Someone check the inflation on that ball!!

But in today's set of rules the receiver must not bobble the ball all the way through the catch, the ball was moving and the ground stopped it, so catch denied. I'm not saying it's fair, but that's what it's devolved into. The ball was absolutely secured. It didn't get jostled loose until after it hit the ground, which is never a fumble unless you're still in the process of making the catch, which he wasn't. Refs screwed the Steelers hardcore.

Panthers will be put up for sale next year:

TBH I always thought that IF a player has legal possession AS he crosses the plane then it's a TD. Apparently, that is not the case anymore, you can go all the way back to the Dez Bryant catch, (and he had held the ball for considerably longer period of time then James) to see it called incomplete. This year alone has been filled with curious call after curious call, so add this one to the list. Didn't help Pittsburgh when Ben chose that particular time to make the only poor decision he made in an otherwise great game. Didn't help the Steelers when the possession before they didn't let Ben throw it on 1st down to salt the game away. I can see if it's Blake Bortles back there but Ben's a future HOF guy, let him make just one more throw to keep Brady from being Brady. He didn't. He was done with the catch. He was on the ground, the ball was secured, and he lunged for the endzone to get a TD. The ball crossed the plane of the endzone. TD. Congratulations, refs, you gave the game, and potentially #1 seed, to the Pats.
Here's that catch by Byrd for the Panthers:
