Giants coach gone.

Bringing back Eli as the starter also. I guess in the midst of a lost season they still aren't going to bother to see if 3rd sting QB Davis Webb is an option for the future. Methinks Giants are going to draft Eli's replacement in the spring. $12.4mm in dead money salary cap hit if they can't find some sucker trade partner to take him off their hands.

When the Redskins let Cousins walk they will probably go after Eli.

Since that just seems like a Redskins thing to do.

If it wasn't for the size of the market and fanbase, nobody would give a damn about Eli Manning or the Giants. This whole "they did Eli wrong" thing is laughable. That's how it works, Honey. You suck, you get benched.

That didn't make sense to me why it would be a forward pass. Wilson was running forward and angled it behind him. When the other guy caught it, it was still behind Wilson. You see those kind of passes in rugby all the time.

Regardless, the iggles would have lost anyway. Their habit of grabbing onto receivers/TEs whenever Wilson scrambled sure helped. It also seemed like using someone other than Lacey sure helped the running game.

all that matters is the parallel (yard line) where the ball leaves the passer's hand and where it is when it is caught. It was definitely forward by a yard or two. But smart dudes like Wilson get back to the line and snap it fast before a flag or challenge can be thrown....still, I think Philly had enough time to make a challenge, they just didn't for some dumb reason.

Just checked rugby rules, and the only restriction is that the ball can't leave the players hands forward. Momentum can carry the ball forward though. That way makes more sense to me, as the ball is never ahead of the passing player so calling it a forward pass is kind of odd.

I dunno about that. He hasn't been worth a shit for a couple of seasons...at least. When he had a better team and coach backing with him...he could get by...but with a team that's mediocre...and a terrible coach...not so much.
The Giant's general manager is as bad at his job as macado-do was at his. He got Eli some high-talent wide receivers but did nothing to develop the O-line. That formula was also tried in Indy and it wound up with Luck possibly never playing again from the beating he took to Brisset, a promising young talent currently absorbing a beating now. These idiot's never understand football games are won/lost in the trenches.

It was definitely forward according to the NFL rules, but yeah, it wouldn't have made a difference. I was just trying to stir the pot.:p

Gronk suspended for one game for the cheap-shot he took at Buffalo DB White. White grabbed Gronk's jersey then pushed off when he saw Brady had under thrown the pass and picked it off. As he lay face down, Gronk came piling down on top of him hitting him in the head with his forearm. Not cool Gronk, while I understand his frustration with the Ref's calling phantom OPI call's on you, that's between you and the Ref's. Every NFL player will try and get away with what they can until it start's getting penalized, that's how it works. Now expect cheap-shot's at Brady's and/or Gronk's knee's when they meet again in 3 weeks, after seeing this epic crap I can't hardly blame them, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFvByIKka8M

And now Berfict is hurt badly. Schuster should be ejected, fined, and suspended for that crap.

I know you can say if after every game but Marvin Lewis needs to be fired asap. Bungals giving another game away with their stupid penalties, Atkins with that stupid late hit.

Every single time the Steelers play the deplorables...I mean Bungles...errr...BENGALS, it's a fucking street brawl. The rivalry goes back to pre-history...and has always been violent.

Read that Ryan Shazier has a spinal contusion and has some movement in his lower extremedies. Here's to hoping as the swelling goes down everything gets back to normal. They say the next 24-48 hours are pretty critical though.

I watched in amazement as Bell literally walked into the EZ unmolested, it seem's the Bungles thought he was going to hop out of bounds. Of course nobody actually MADE SURE he went OB and hence the walk-in TD. NFL just announced Gronk's suspension is upheld, as a life-long Patriot fan I'm GLAD this happened. This will cost him much more than just a game-check, a lot of his $$ bonus's are incentive-driven so missing this game might cost him more than a million. That reckless attack will now make winning at Miami next Monday much more difficult, the Pats are 8/9 vs the Dolphins playing at Miami. Even worse is the Pats can expect payback by someone diving at Brady's knee's in 3 weeks when they face Buffalo again. These 2 teams always play each other hard over the years, but neither side had ever gone the "dirty" route, that's all changed, (for the worse) now.

It was a surprisingly dirty play by someone I've always seen as a clean player (though I disagree on "phantom" OPI calls; he pushes off all the time). As for retaliation, I don't think McDermott will tolerate anything like that. We'll see.

Well he got hit with an OPI during Sunday's game, the replay had the announcers going "huh?", I didn't even see any contact let alone pushing off. Even if Gronk's routinely held week in week, out his beef should be directed to the Ref's, not a 193lb DB. NFL players will get away with what they can, (including Gronk), if it's not called, they will continue doing so. O-line guys hold all the time if they think it's not visible, D-line guys will continue to smash a QB late if no roughing the passer is called and so on and so on. Like I said, I'm glad his appeal got denied.
