-O-line fell off the planet (Cutler sacked 1/50+ snaps last year, 1/16ish this year)
-O-line impacts whoever swapped Forte out with a shittier version of himself
-Horrible secondary, 2/3 staring LB's out. D-line only getting worse.
-Worst coaching of the "real" teams (excluding: Browns, Bucs, Lions, Rams, etc)
-Almost half of his picks are directly the fault of an inexperienced receiving corps or just unlucky calls/breaks (no-call PI from today)
Add all those up and you get the "shitty" Cutler. And then add the fact that at least 70% of Chicago fans don't seem to understand football and want him to be cut, and you have the (hopefully not) ruined Cutler
Thanks, that actually makes a lot of sense! I was sort of be facetious about Cutler just leaving his skill behind in Denver and I've definitely been aware of the deficiencies of the offensive line. While you are 100% correct that the fault isn't all Cutler's, it's still been astounding to watch how much the team has struggled.
And by no means am I saying Cutler is at no-fault. He hasn't been as good as he can and hopefully will be. But to blame him solely (which every dumb fan and lazy sports writer does) for this shit team is plain stupid.
All I can hope for as a huge bears fan is that every member of the coaching staff gets fired, the GM gets fired, the owners open their wallets for some quality coaching, and that Cutler's confidence doesn't get destroyed by our stupid ass fans.
That first pass interference against the Texans was interesting to say the least.
That was an odd call but the commentator pointed out that the DB was holding down the receiver's arm. The receiver was not even able to put his arms up to attempt a jump at the ball.
Too bad Vince Young didn't scramble into the endzone just to rub it in Leinart's face again.
Nothing Leinart can do but watch as the defense blows it. seriously 99 yard drive with two 4th down conversions.
WOW that was the fastest offense -> FG unit transition i have ever seen. such a close kick too, accuracy was fine, just lost the range.
Wow, Ed hochuli and his crew would have been crucified had that FG been good.
