That is still strange that the Chargers called that last time out...it looked like the Raiders were content to run out the clock...if they didn't call that time out, the raiders would have probably just do another quick run to end the game. But since the time out was called, they tried to get the 1st down which resulted in the big gain which set up the winning field goal (not to say the same result would not have happened if timeout wasn't called). Even the SNF announcers were surprised at the timeout...

but by winning the game, the Raiders face the Bengals instead of the Chiefs so there is that....

Raiders should have always been playing to avoid the Chiefs, who have pretty much owned them after that "humiliation" surprise loss.

but on the other hand, running the clock out guarantees a playoff spot...ball could be fumbled on a running play or a field goal could be blocked and returned, etc (these are highly unlikely but are still possibilities that need to be considered)....

Raiders were in shotgun, a riskier formation for a bad snap, and the play clock was down to 5 seconds or something when the Chargers called timeout. Then they switched to single back after the timeout and ran right at Bosa again. Apparently, the Raiders were confident their TE could hold up against Bosa.

First of all. Lets go Buffalo!!! 2nd. I had a free 100 bet on dk. Picked Raiders money line. Payout 145. Up 2 td, I hedged chargers + 1000 20 bucks. 220 payout. Would’ve been pissed like Pitt, if this game ended in tie. 😂

Burrow will burrow into that Carr and kill it inside out like the aliens from Alien.
We'll see, he does have the unstoppable force with perhaps the best talented rookie, Ja'marr Chase I've seen
in decades. LV has a bit better defense if you ask me but the game's in Cinci so the Bengals will be heavily favored.

That is really the only hope that the Raiders have, couldn't beat the chargers in reg...took it all the way to OT.

I won't be shock if the Bengals beat up on my beloved Raiders....sigh...

Little bit of house cleaning being done around the league this morning. Kinda shocked Flores is out in Miami. He seemed to have gotten his act together a bit over the last half of the season and the Defense was looking better and better. Wonder if maybe they should have fired the OC instead.

was if Flores fault they didn't pick Herbert instead of Tua?, dumb move

I mean, if it was that would be a bit more understandable. For whatever reason, he doesn't strike me as someone who wants to be overly vocal on the offensive side of the ball. He seems like a guy that knows Defense and would be content to let others handle the O and ST.

I kind of wish the Pats would bring him back and dump Steve Belichick. I would bet he could make them even better than they are now that he'd have someone like Judon to use as he pleased.

It seems Joe Judge may keep his job. I mean if that happens, I'm literally not turning on a single Giants game next year. I'll use Redzone channel when I go to watch football if the Giants are on and that's it.

Mara is such a shitty owner. His dad would be ashamed of him. He got handed everything and thinks he knows what he is doing, and he hasn't a clue.

You should watch to see all the creative ways they can f&^k it up, because you know they will, it just a matter of how, that's how i managed the Millen years and Quintricia years

Gettleman has "retired" so that leads me to believe Judge will be gone. Very tough to hire a GM if you're handcuffing candidates to an existing coach.

Per NY Sports radio Mara has already said Judge was staying weeks ago.... obviously not officially and this was prior to the absolute $hit the Giants went to in the last 3 weeks of the season.

I've been following the reddit threads that are compiling the reports of NFL insiders including Schefter. Right now they are leaning to he is actually staying. This is well within the realm of a Mara decision - you and I know it, but non Giants fans don't know how terrible of an owner he is.

I'm also a life-long NY Mets fan .... after the "Wilponzi's" I thought I'd seen it all in terms of incompetent management but keeping Judge would top all of them.

I'm not going back over all the reasons I feel this way but Judge NEEDS TO GO!

😡

Bill Barnwell had a good take on the ending:

I hate dislike the Packers and have straight-up contempt for that sack of $hit Rodgers so I'm HOPING he gets hurt and can't QB in the playoffs.... couldn't happen to a nicer guy!

However if I were a GB fan I'd be steaming pissed right now.
You must be thrilled Aaron Over-rated Rodgers himself is all but a lock for the MVP award. :tearsofjoy:

Absolutely! 😉

Well to be fair not 'happy" but without him @ QB the Packers wouldn't be anywhere near as good as they are now so I'm not questioning it.

(my current problem with Rodgers isn't directly related to football its about being a lying sack of trash)
