NFL SMS alerts?

Hi all -

I'm looking to sign up for some NFL SMS alerts & I'm not sure what the best choice is... there are a bunch of places to subscribe to these - google, yahoo, 4info, etc.

I'm looking for as real time as possible scores each time a team scores (mainly the Steelers) & I'd like a little info with it - like who score & how they did it etc.

Anyone have a provider that gives this sort of info & in close to realtime?

I like the ESPN alerts myself.

Edit: You can choose when alerts are sent (Final, Quarter, Every Scoring Play, or All for scores, news, fantasy news, etc) and specify which time of day you'd prefer them to be sent to (if any preference).

I'm also on Steelers alerts. Go Steelers! :beer:

Sweet, I just added the White Sox alert to my phone. We'll see if it's annoying or not.


I don't understand why you'd need NFL scores though? They only play 16 games.

Well... a few times a season I invariably end up missing the game (like the 1st preseason game this year) due to family stuff. I'd like to at least be able to keep current with what's going on in the game.

For the ESPN alerts - what's the delay between a score & the alert?
