If the Vikings are on the hook to pay him anyway, why wouldn't they just sit him on the bench for the rest of the season? Do they need the roster spot?

Maybe he'll be exiled to Buffalo or Carolina. LOLOLOL. Or, dare I say, will next week's edition of "Meanwhile, in San Francisco..." have Mike Singletary greeting Randy?

Let be honest, you would claim him off waivers? If he does not get claimed, I will find it hard to believe.

Reporter: Mike, what will you do for your next game?

Mike: Throw to Moss.

Reporter: And?

Mike: And What? That is the game plan. Throw to Moss and Win.

They say if anyone claims him off waivers, the team would have to pick-up the remainder of the $6.5 million on his contract.

Yes of course, but I doubt anyone will pick him up.

What an odd turn of events. Oh well, was fun while it lasted...not really.

Reporter: But who will throw to Moss?

Mike: Moss.

Reporter: Excuse me?

Mike: For the kind of money we're paying him, he is going to play QB too. He couldn't be any worse than the excrement we have playing QB now.

He's still in Boston, so that's a good sign. Since trading Moss, the Pats passing attack has really been hampered without someone to stretch the field. Welker has been double-teamed and really a non-factor.

I do not think it will happen. Pats are on the bottom of the waiver list. I am pretty sure a bunch of teams would not mind taking his salary.

Help me understand this, why did the Vikings pick up Moss
Because last year's star WR, Sidney Rice, has been out recovering from hip surgery all year. At the time, the Vikings' only good WR was Percy Harvin. Vikings wanted a deep threat to hold them over until Rice returns. Looks like that didn't happen.

and why are they releasing him?
I'm not entirely certain, but it seems as though he's already gotten bored with the Vikings. He wasn't even trying yesterday, didn't put in any effort to make plays. At the postgame press conference he said he wouldn't answer anyone's questions and also he was wearing a Red Sox hat. And he criticized the Vikings coaches for not listening to his plans, even though he's a WR and not an offensive coordinator.

I knew he'd get bored in Minnesota since he's a diva who cries when he doesn't get enough attention, but I honestly didn't expect it to happen after four games. Figured he'd at least last until Rice got back.

This is turning into a complete nightmare of a season for the Vikings.
