NFL reportedly made deal with Rams to draft Michael Sam (gay player) in 2014

Im guessing that if a team did draft Sam and was on Hard Knocks, every scene would be about people reacting to him. So to prevent that, the nfl agreed not to feature the team that drafted him on the show

Everybody and their brother talked at the time that the move seemed like an organized maneuver given when it occurred and who did it.

The fact he couldn't even hold onto a position in the CFL just makes it seem more so.

I know O'brien didn't this last year, but I think it did wonders for the Texans' image.

If anything, they were entertaining as hell 😀

The Texans image is literally "look, at JJ Watt", which works because JJ Watt is amazing.

Also, I see Sam being drafted by the Rams as the same as other teams that were looking at him as an undrafted FA. They didn't need him, and it was a low risk high reward pick. They were stacked at d line and Sam was given a chance to prove himself. He failed, and sold a lot of jerseys in the process. Rams (and Cowboys) won.

watching JJ Watt lift a giant tire on Hard Knocks was the most entertaining thing about the Texans season.

also, this story sounds hokey.

"Sources told a St Louis Rams Fan radio station." Please, if the content coming out of fansites that we see reposted here is any indication, you are dealing with the dumbest, most gullible, most asinine conspiracy-laden morons to litter the modern human diaspora. Nothing of any value, ever, will be found on an NFL (or any sport) fan site or station.

Ever.

Of course this "source" is going to leak this info directly to a fansite.

JJ Watt and Wilfork on hard Knocks was freaking hilarious.

Wilfork's airball in the pick-up game was my avatar for this year's fantasy team. 😀

And now that I have seen these, I am retroactively disappointed about my selection:

Him the bibs was just cringeworthy hilarious.
What boggles my mind is guys like him in the NFL, with their tremendous size and umm... girth... are still more athletic and quicker than I am.

Athletes, especially NFL players, are massively muscular, even if they don't look it. I mean, Darren Sproles is 5'5 200lbs with a 6 pack... I can't imagine just how strong Wilforks big ass is.

I wasn't referring to their strength so much as their quickness is concerned. A dude like Wilfork, who is basically a moving mountain, is quicker n his feet than I could be. Better endurance and stamina too. They are freaks.
