NFL receives 8 tapes of Patriots cheating

those are a lot of wins after those tapes were made. it'll be interesting to findout what happens next for the pats

Nothing will happen b/c the Pats already admitted that they had been taping those games.

?This is consistent with what the Patriots had admitted they had been doing, consistent with what we already knew,? NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told The Associated Press.

Ban them from the league for a season. I'm not even kidding.

The same with other teams and coaches that have admitted to doing it also? Like Jimmy Johnson with the Cowboys and Mike Shanahan with the Broncos?

my bet is that they get a slap on the wrist. probably fine them like 500 grand per tape

They've already been punished, I think that portion of the proceedings is complete.

A lot of people completely missing the point here. What they received was basically nothing of value, nothing new. The original story about a Rams tape(the important part) didn't exist, and the people that broke the story regarding it got it wrong. As it currently appears, anyway.

Wow I didn't think people were still ignorant about this considering the overblown coverage.

But the Patriots already admitted to taping going back to 2000 and that's what they were punished for already.

This is NOTHING NEW at all, whatsoever. Yet the "media" continues to harp on this because the whole Walsh Rams walk-through innuendo turned out to be nothing and most fans are simply bitter and petty that their team hasn't had the same sort of success in the last decade.

Good thing that Jimmy Johnson coach of the multiple SB winning Dallas Cowboys never did such a thing. Oh wait he did and admitted it was common: http://www.boston.com/sports/f...earns_new_deal/?page=2

Good thing the greats in the league history never did such HORRIBLE things.
Oh wait another fallacy:

A) Bellicheck deserved a suspension the first time
B) These tapes are nothing new, it's just more video evidence of what they already admitted
C) I doubt anything will come of this. A lot of media hype over nothing.

They used to talk about a stat of how the patriots never lost to someone the second time they faced them in a season. I guess we have a clue why that was now 🙂

Except the Giants. 😉

I didn't know those two also taped their opponents. Got a link?

But they beat them the second time...

😀

Who cares? The games are nationally televised. Anyone who wants to watch those hands signals can from their couch. Anyone can buy a ticket to the games and watch the hand signals in person. Sports teams have been videotaping their opponents for as long as the technology has been available. Studying your opponent and building a strategy to take them down is smart.

Sounds like a bunch of sore losers to me.

The Pats have been phenomenal the last few years. A couple of tape recording won't change that.

Why did this Walsh wait until 1 day before the SB to "leak" this story to the
Herald?, and now no tapes of the Rams walk through?. This guy has to be
looking for $$ somewhere along the line, IMO. BB had it coming with his arrogance
and he paid in full to the tune of a half mil., now lets get back to football next
sept. and be done with it..
