Yeah, that's why everyone is doing it right?

Are you kidding me?

New Crop:

Matt Ryan
Joe Flaco
Mark Sanchez
Jay Cutler
Philip Rivers
Eli Manning
Tony Romo

Crafty Vets:

Peyton Manning
Drew Breese
Marc Bulger
Tom Brady
Donavon McNabb
Carson Palmer
Matt Hasselbeck

Old Timers:

Kerry Collins
Bret Favre
Kurt Warner

I have bolded the only QBs in your list which are even close to or are better than Ben. oh and if your wondering why I didnt bold mcnabb... it takes more skill to continuosly throw 10 yard outs, than 6 yard lobs and 2 yard screens.

Just wondering why you excluded Brees.

Well, I think Ben can go under new crop, since Eli is in there. Therefore...

New Crop: Ben Roethlisberger
Crafty Vets: Tom Brady
Old Timers: *shrug*

Roethlisraper is overrated. He'll have a decent game then go out next game and throw 3 interceptions. He's not very consistent.

He's been very consistent this season and he has a ring. Name me 5 better QBs in the league right now.

I am a fan of this list, but I think Favre has been showing up Warner rather consistently. Also, Matt Ryan is real solid (Though Phillip is my guy)

He has 2 rings.

buuuuut, I'll take a stab.

Brees
Favre
Peyton
Rivers
Ryan
and from the looks of it right now....Orton :Q

Don't you think it might be a little early to crown Sanchez?

Edit - Sorry, Sanchize, or whatever those idiots in NY are calling him.

OP also forgot Matt Schaub, currently 2nd in passing yards to Ben Roethlisberger and also has the most TD passes.

Through week 6, the only player any reasonable debater could argue as performing as good or better on a week to week basis than Ben Roethlisberger is Peyton Manning, both are on pace for 5000+ yard seasons with 72+% completions (chances look ripe for an NFL passing record to be broken)

do you realize he currently leads the league in passing and a 72% completion percentage? his average yards per attempt is #1 (as is his average per completion), he has the most 20+ yard plays, the 2nd most 40+ yard plays and highest percentage of passes for 1st downs...which says he's throwing the ball further down the field more than the other QBs.

your blind hatred jealousy is amusing

Ben is hilarious to watch. It's like watching a frat boy play sandlot football. I'm surprised he doesn't take his helmet off while playing and wear a backwards hat.

It's still a long season.

Yes, but its one thing to throw 6 TDs in one game like Brady and Brees have done, its another to consistently throw for 300+ yards a game like Manning and Roethlisberger have been doing. Its hard to argue that 5-6 games in a row is an aberration.

Ben has only thrown for more than 20 touchdowns once in his career. He's average at best SKILL WISE.

Ben is a better football player than Brees. Brees is a better QB. If that makes sense.

As for best now? Peyton. No questions. His understanding of the game, work ethic, and execution are second to no one.
