Vikings didn't do so well. Adrian Peterson obviously isn't a lineman. But hey at least E.J. Henderson is looking good!

Stafford and the 1st team O looked good, Best is showing speed we haven't had since Sanders left 10 years ago... Suh looks great and the d-line looks very good, secondary is god-aweful

This 150%. The team is actually starting to look pretty damn good with the exception of th gaping holes in the Lions secondary. Fix those and we might have decent team for once.

Packers offense looked (and was) unstoppable. Rodgers is simply the real deal and has, quite honestly, the best WR core in th freaking league. (and a TE that is going to be a super-stud).

The defense?...uh... well... they are currently missing/sitting their entire 1st string backfield, so I will use that as their excuse. It has not been pretty on defense thus far.

yup. defense looked crappy at best, but they are keeping out 6 starters. what scares me though is that if the starters get hurt they basically need to rely on the offense to win a shootout because the defense leaks like a siv(sp?)

Not a big football fan, but apparently the Ravens are decent so far. Sloppy performance on Saturday, but still good enough to beat the Washington Foreskins.

Does anyone really think the NFL preseason (save for maybe the final game) has any bearing on how a season will go? More than anything, the preseason is for evaluating players that are going to fill backup or niche roles on a team. Conclusions about starters are rarely indicative of regular season reality.

Adrian Peterson obviously isn't a lineman. But hey at least E.J. Henderson is looking good!

No, Peterson isn't - that's what Taylor's role was, but it's no secret.

Agreed on the linebacker play - didn't really catch much but Brinkley looked decent too, the little I saw of him. Hopefully he'll have a chance to continue developing this year with Henderson back.

This Bears fan will go cry in the corner thinking about the useless hobos posing as an offensive line who allowed Cutler to get sacked into oblivion. Again.

It's going to be a loooooooong season for the Bears.

To all of the people on the Detroit bandwagon talking about how good they looked. Remember this, it's the preseason, and the Lions went 4-0 in the preseason last year.

That being said... WHO DAT SAY DEY GONNA BEAT DEM SAINTS?!

They where 4-0 in the preseason the year they went 0-16....ain't no bandwagon but they are looking better...still no depth and will implode as soon as they get injuries...

LOL, I saw two Bears offensive plays yesterday - both were huge sacks of Cutler. I just chuckled and turned the station.

Pre-season is nearly useless, I think I have watched a dozen snaps total. Injuries are much more important, and unfortunately the Cowboys have had a few...

The pre-season is more about trying out new players and seeing how they play under the pressure of a "real game" and how they work with the other members of the team.

I rarely watch pre-season football because the first-string players usually don't get much playing time and because the games don't count for a dammed thing.

I DID watch the Minnesota/49er game last night...and was very disappointed in the Vikings performance...and was quite surprised at the 9er 3rd string QB, Nate Davis. That guy's got a hell of a good arm.

My team won. I think we'll take the NFC West.
9ers could have taken their division the last 10 years if they could just do two things:

O - Run the ball on first down.
D - Stop 3rd and long.

They are so hard for me to watch.

Carolina Panthers:

Defense looked very good.

Offense, somebody needs to send out an APB because they were nowhere to be found.

Next pre-season game will be closer to a real one. Starters should be on the field longer and there will be some game planning.

While much of preseason is about evaluating new players etc, it does have some import as regards the 1st team developing some timing together etc.

Jury is still out on the Giants. They've got beat on a few long passes which scare me, because that's where teams were able to amass a huge amount of points against them last year.

The D-Line looks to be performing better but still wondering about the depth in their secondary and how well they can cover speed.

Their offense looks a little shaky. Pass protection does not look like the caliber it was two years ago, and I'm still not sure about Jacobs. Bradshaw should be #1 this year on their team if he keeps healthy.

The best thing about the Giants this year is their receiving which is unfortunate because their system depends on power-football and running. Eli adapted well last year, but not good enough in the red zone and surely not good enough to overcome the points scored against them. They just seem like a team in transition right now , and rationally thinking, I'd have to predict them making wild card at best.

Being a faithful fan though, the Giants always seem to be doing their best coming from behind.
